One of the criticisms that I was given when I did this presentation was that I should slow down. When a person is nervous, they speak faster and it becomes harder to understand them. By slowing down and taking your time and articulating your words, not only will you sound more confident but I found that people become more engaged. So for my assignment 5 presentation, I kept it calm and I slowed it down. Not only did I feel more confident but I saw more people nodding there heads. The other piece of criticism that I took to heart was that I need to make more eye contact. During my presentation, my eyes were darting around the room like crazy. I also took this to heart during assignment 5. I would stop at one person and make eye contact with that person. I would then move to the next person and do the same process. I would move left and then to the right. Overall I believe that people were also more engaged because I did so. I believe that I learned a lot from my oral presentations. I believe that I need more presentation opportunities in the future.
