I felt that the most significant improvement from the beginning of the semester and now is my time management on getting my paper done and taking the time to read through my paper. One aspect of my communication that I truly need to work on is writing my thoughts on my paper, especially when it comes to writing a research paper. I find it difficult to express some of my opinion because I’ve relied so much on the facts and researches. Practice writing my thoughts on paper would be one of the strategies for me to effectively express my opinion in my future writing assignments.

The approach that I took in writing my Assignment #5 was taking my time to research on the topic that I am writing about. Fortunately, I had found so many sources to back up my thesis statement about the aggression level that violent video games have on children, specifically adolescents (9-12 years old). While looking for evidences to back up my claim, I looked at the factors that influence the aggression level and I ran into the three big factors that significantly influenced the aggression level.. types of video games, gender, and personality that was discussed by Jia-Kun Zheng and Zhang Qian.

I felt the strength in my final product is the evidences from two different studies that backed up my thesis statement. I also thought that it was important for me to include what parents and schools could do to decrease the exposure of violent video games.
